What is this Library Card?
Technically, it’s an account with a username and password that gives you access to all the files on this website that cannot be downloaded for free. On other websites, this might be called a membership account.
How much does it cost?
Only US$16 or € 12.
€ 12 if you are a resident of the EU; if not, you are free to choose whether you want to pay in US$ or Euros.
This is a one-time payment, not a subscription!
There are no recurring costs (see below).
How many books do I get?
Currently 17, and many more to come – see below!
How long is the Library Card valid?
First, note that all the files are free from “digital rights management” restrictions. For your own personal use, you can keep all the books you’ve downloaded forever, and you’ll be able to read them on any device that supports the PDF format.
The library card, if you order it now, will be valid until the Library contains all 16 volumes of “The Thousand Nights And A Night,” and at least as many other books – this will probably be in 2015.
With the Library Card, you’ll be able to download and keep all the books that are in the library now, or will have been added by then!
And after 2015?
I’ll think of something until then … But, by then, you’ll have at least 32 books to download, for a total price of € 12 or $16!
Why this “Library Card” instead of just selling e-books?
Because only this way I can offer you the books of this library at this incredibly low price. Each transaction costs time and money, and when selling books separately, their selling prices have to cover those costs.
Besides, isn’t it more fun this way? You do not have to decide for each particular book whether to buy it – for less than the price of two, you get them all!
How do I get my Library Card?

After I’ve received your payment, I will send you a mail with the password that, together with your mail address, will work as your Library Card.
Please understand that this is not an automated process! I’ll respond as quickly as possible, but there may be a delay of up to 36 hours, or possibly more during weekends or holidays.

Can I get a Library Card for free?
Yes, if you put a link to the library on your own website – this website must in some way relate to literature or e-books in general, or to one of the books in this library, its subject, or its author. If so, please send me a mail!
Your obligations
Just the obvious: you must not make your password available to any other person, and you must comply with each e-book’s copyright and license statements. In particular, you must not forward or publish any e-books of this library in any form, whether digitally or printed. (You may, of course, share them with persons in your own household.)
Violating these rules, irrespective of possible further measures, will invalidate your Library Card.
Please be aware that for security or administrative reasons, your password may be changed occasionally; therefore, inform me if your e-mail address changes.
Privacy
I will only use your e-mail address for direct communication concerning the Library. This address, and any further personal data I may receive through the payment process or in any other ways, will not be used for any other purposes, and, unless required by law, not be passed on to any third party.
